A Stalham firefighter went to the aid of a duckling which had become trapped in a manhole cover in the town's Brumstead Road at about 7.30am this morning.
The bird managed to free itself and was boxed and left with the caller who had alerted the brigade, awaiting advice from the RSPCA.
