Trains are delayed due to cows on the track between Lowestoft and Beccles

Trains are delayed due to animals on the tracks between Lowestoft and Beccles.

At around 7.30am the Lowestoft to Ipswich service was delayed between Oulton Broad South and Beccles due to cows on the train tracks.

It did not stop at Brampton Suffolk, Halesworth, Darsham, Saxmundham, Wickham Market, Melton, Woodbridge, Westerfield and Ipswich. It was then terminated at Beccles.

A spokesperson from Abellio Greater Anglia said that fewer trains are able to run on all lines due to the cows.

The 7.44am service from Saxmundham to Lowestoft, will be delayed between Brampton Suffolk and Beccles.

Delays are expected to continue until 11am.
