A number of train services on the Norwich to London mainline have been cancelled or altered for the rest of the week due to a major track fault.

A crack was identified during an inspection on the approach to Liverpool Street station at the weekend and, owing to the size of the crack, the part cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. It means trains are unable to access two platforms.

Due to track fault a number of services to and from Norwich and London Liverpool Street have been cancelled or amended for the rest of this week, up to and including Friday June 15:

The affected train services are;

• 6am Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Colchester

• 7am Liverpool Street to Norwich has been cancelled

• 7.05am Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Colchester

• 8.30am Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Colchester

• 9.30am Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Colchester

• 2.30pm Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Stratford

• 3pm Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Stratford

• 3.30pm Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Stratford

• 5pm Norwich to Liverpool Street terminates at Colchester

• 5pm Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Stratford at 5.07pm

• 5.30pm Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Stratford 5.37pm

• 6.10pm Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Stratford at 6.17pm

• 7.30pm Liverpool Street to Norwich starts at Colchester at 8.20pm.

Tickets restrictions have been lifted from Greater Anglia Main Line stations and tickets will also be valid on West Anglia services.
