A busy Thorpe St Andrew road will be closed to traffic for three days next week.

A notice has been issued by Norfolk County Council stating that a water meter is in need of renewal and the use by vehicles of a 50m stretch of Harvey Lane, between the Gordon Avenue junction and Plumstead Road roundabout, will be temporarily prohibited.

The work is initially planned to start on Monday and be completed on Wednesday, although it could last longer. The notice states the closure is: 'Expected to be about three days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of five days.'

A diversion will be set up via Gordon Avenue, Margetson Avenue and Saint Williams Way to bring traffic back to the top of Harvey Lane.
