A commercial flight had to make an emergency landing at Norwich International Airport late this afternoon after a passenger was taken seriously ill.
A Thomas Cook flight on a Boeing 757 from Turkey to Edinburgh had to make the unscheduled stop as a man had collapsed during the flight.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called at 4.34pm and told that the man would be in the airport's main terminal shortly and needed treatment.
He had a weak pulse and was said to be in a 'serious condition' so was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
