Drivers faced delays as tests were carried out on Carrow Bridge in Norwich.
Motorists faced a hold-up of around 10 minutes at around 2.30pm today, as routine tests were carried out on the bridge, which crosses the River Wensum close to Norwich City Football Club's Carrow Road stadium.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk County Council said it had caused the road to be closed for about 10 minutes and said future tests would be publicised in advance.
