Drivers warned of delays as turbine is transported through Norfolk

Motorists have been warned they may experience delays this weekend as police escort an abnormal load through Norfolk.

On Sunday at 9.30am police will escort the gas turbine, weighing 480,300kg, from King's Lynn Dock to King's Lynn Power Station.

The route will be as follows; Local roads, A1078, A148, A149 after 6.2km as the vehicle travels contraflow along the eastbound on the slip road and continues to Hardwick roundabout, where the vehicle will travel contraflow, A47 contraflow off slip, A47 after 300m to cross back to carriageway and then local roads to site.

Police have warned people to expect delays along these routes.
