Work starts today on upgrading a pedestrian crossing. The job is expected to take three weeks.
The �52,000 upgrade involves kerbing, slab laying, footway surfacing, traffic signal installation, street lighting, signing and lining.
The affected stretch extends from Marsh Lane to Queen Elizabeth Avenue.
Traffic management will be Two Way traffic signals under restricted working hours.
There may also be a need for Three Way traffic control at certain times during the works.
Pedestrians will be signed to use a temporary footway and crossing point.
Access will be maintained to properties and any businesses within the work.
