A busy road has reopened after a fallen tree caused traffic delays.
Police were called to the A47 in Lowestoft at 2.35am on Thursday, September 24 following reports of a fallen tree on the A47 near to Gunton Church Lane, which was blocking the road.
With the large tree – described as being about 30 metres in length – blocking the road, police said Highways England were called to the scene with diversions put in place.
With the A47 closed between the A1117 and the A1144 motorists were warned to expect delays in the area while the tree was cut and removed.
According to Highways England, the “tree has been cleared and the A47 is open in both directions.”.
