Drivers endured disruption to their route out of Norwich this morning after a swan caused delays near a busy junction.
Officers from Norfolk Police were called to the junction between the A47 and A146 outside Norwich, in the Lowestoft direction, after reports of traffic congestion due to a swan on the road, a spokesman for the service said.
The police were called to the scene this morning because the swan was causing disruption to the highway.
The spokesman said officers managed to 'contain' the swan at the side of the road, meaning traffic can flow freely again.
Earlier this month police rescued a swan from the A47 in scenes reminiscent of the 2007 comedy film Hot Fuzz.
