The inspirational people who are set to run the Olympic Torch through Norwich are ready for their moment to shine.

Twenty torchbearers will carry the flame from the Boundary to Norwich city centre when the torch arrives at about 5.50pm.

They are Aaron Bettoney, Sarah McGahan, Jess Savage, Sasha Dyke, Charlotte Peck, Carl Meen, Tom Ward, Melissa Ilboudo, James Colley, Mark Harper, Ian Scopes, Brian Armstrong, Simon Stokes, Sarah Goring, Kate Walsh, Gary Stevens, Tonya Knights, Steve Browse, Josh Worley and Dan Browne.

Ahead of leg of the relay, Miss McGahan, 18, who lives near Diss, said: 'I'm very nervous but very excited. I think its going to be quite emotional.'

Miss Peck, from Harleston, has the honour of lighting the cauldron at Chapelfield Gardens at 7pm. The 24-year-old said: 'I'm feeling very nervous. I think we all are because we don't fully know what's going to happen. I've got lots of family coming to watch and will be running 600 metres.

'I feel quite honoured to be lighting the cauldron. I thought it would be someone well known. I'm really excited, it's a once in a lifetime chance.'
