A charity is hosting its annual fundraising event in September with a special screening of the 1986 Tom Cruise blockbuster Top Gun.

Moth in a China Shop picked the flying classic due to popular demand and the charity is encouraging attendees to come along in fancy dress to match the occasion.

The Film in the Woods event will be held at 6.30 pm on September 2 at Old Larchwood, near Beachamwell and throughout the evening popcorn, cakes and ice cream will be available along with hot food and refreshments.

Along with the outdoor cinema the charity will hold a ploughing match, where farmers attend and compete for the best ploughing.

The farm manager from Moth in a China Shop's main sponsor, Mr Hugh's, has also donated one of his vintage tractors for a raffle, tickets for which have been bought from as far as Dorset and Devon.
