Three rave goers were sentenced yesterday after trouble flared at an illegal gathering in Thetford Forest.
Nathan Elfleet, Nathan Davies, and Samantha Ingram pleaded guilty to affray after the incident at Kings Forest, North Stow, near Elveden, last year.
Ipswich Crown Court was told that trouble erupted when police interrupted the rave, involving 200 partygoers, in the early hours of April 30.
When officers attempted to seize their speakers, a group of youths tried to wrestle the equipment back and a PC was knocked to the ground and kicked and punched repeatedly.
Elfleet, 19, of Garners Lane, Wingland, Lincolnshire, was seen having a "pushing match" with an officer, while Davies, 18, of Ryedale, Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft, aimed a kick at the officer on the floor, which did not connect, the court heard.
Samantha Ingram, 21, of Barnham Broom Road, Wymondham, was seen holding a bottle near to the disturbance, which was captured on video by both onlookers and scenes of crimes officers.
Sentencing the trio, Mr Recorder Gerard Pounder fined Elfeet
£500 and gave Ingram a conditional discharge of two
years.
But he imposed a sentence of nine months detention in a young offenders institute suspended for two years on Davies, as well as ordering him to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
