Three men are continuing to be questioned following an incident where a 21-year-old man received suffered serious injuries after suffering a puncture wound to the stomach.

Three men are continuing to be questioned following an incident where a 21-year-old man received suffered serious injuries after suffering a puncture wound to the stomach.

The incident happened on Wednesday at 3.20pm near to the shops at Humbleyard in Bowthorpe on the outskirts of Norwich. Officers were on the scene within minutes along with staff from the ambulance service.

The injured 21-year-old was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police carried out an area search and quickly arrested three men and one woman, all of whom are local to the Norwich area and are believed to be known to the victim.

The 32-year-old woman was released on police bail pending further enquiries. The three men, who are aged 19, 21, and 32, are still detained in custody.
