Three men were arrested this morning after a woman was found dead at an address in King's Lynn.

Police said her death was being treated as suspicious, as forensic officers began a search of a semi-detached property at 31 LeStrange Avenue, North Lynn.

The woman, who has not yet been named but is believed to have been eastern European and in her mid-40s, was pronounced dead at the house after an ambulance crew were called to the address at 5.39am.

Two ambulance workers and a first responder fought to revive the woman, who had suffered a deep laceration to her neck.

This morning two police officers stood guard outside the brick-built property, which stands barely 100 yards from the police's North Lynn Beat Base.

One neighbour said the house was believed to be occupied by foreign workers. The road past the property was closed to traffic.

“Police are at this time treating her death as suspicious and an investigation has been launched by Western Area CID, led by Det Chief Insp Neil Firm,” a spokesman said.

“The property has been sealed and will be subject to detailed forensic examination. Officers will be making enquiries in the North Lynn area throughout the day.

“Three male occupants have been arrested and remain in police custody.”

Detectives are now trying to formally identify the woman and trace her next of kin. A post mortem will be carried out to confirm the cause of death.
