It was a huge weekend for Holkham Hall this weekend as it hosted the extremely popular country fair and a concert by singing legend Tom Jones.

The weekend got off to a spectacular start on Saturday as thousands made their way to the beautiful estate grounds to enjoy two days of countryside activities, rural crafts, and spectacular performances at the Holkham Country Fair.

It opened with the Royal British Legion's parachute team, known as Jump4Heroes, dropping into the Grand Ring arena with smoke trailing and flags flying.

The Grand Ring was a hub throughout the weekend for some of the most spectacular displays and performances, including three major first time events.

The Dzhigitovka group thrilled audiences with a performance based on legendary Cossack warriors. The performers displayed amazing gymnastic skills on horseback and showcased their skills with the Shashka sword in knife throwing and pistol shooting.

The iconic Second World War Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota aircraft also took to the skies overhead to perform a Battle of Britain memorial flight display.

But perhaps the most anticipated display of all was the appearance of Britain's top aerobatic team, The Red Arrows. The weekend's unsettled weather made way for a display exhibiting the team's close formation flying and high speed twists and turns.

Outside of the eye-catching displays, there were a huge number of activities for all the family, including a 60-metre zip wire that let people zoom through the estate grounds and an exotic animal encounter, where children were able to interact with animals such as meerkats and snakes.

As the country fair came to an end on Sunday, more guests were heading to the other side of the estate to watch one of Britain's most well-known music artists perform live in an open air concert.

The Tom Jones concert was filled with some of his most iconic and recognisable hits from across the decades, along with a selection of songs from his latest albums. Ticketholders were encouraged to bring a blanket and relax under the stars as they watched the performance.

Before Tom Jones got on stage there was a warm up act by Into The Ark, a singing duo who were finalists in the 2017 series of The Voice and coached by Mr Jones.
