McDonald's has revealed the opening date for its new restaurant near Norwich.

The franchise at Thickthorn roundabout will open on November 29 and will create 100 new jobs for the area.

There will be 30 full-time and 70 part-time roles as well as 20 positions for the busy Christmas period.

The new restaurant will feature self-order kiosks and will also have table service so people don't have to worry about finding somewhere to sit while carry food.

Franchisee Kenny Russell, who is running the restaurant, said he is excited for the opening.

'I am delighted to be opening my eleventh restaurant here,' he said. 'It is fantastic to be able to continue to contribute to the area's economy and I am looking forward to getting to know all my new employees and customers.'

The restaurant includes 60 car parking spaces, a seating area for 140 covers and cycle racks for customers. It will be open 24-hours a day.
