Organisers of King's Lynn's Festival Too have announced 70s soul band The Real Thing will perform at this year's event.

The are due to perform on Friday, July 7 as part of the Back in the Day themed evening.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their single You to Me Are Everything, the Liverpool-based trio - vocalists Eddie Amoo, Chris Amoo and Dave Smith - will be joined on stage with their five-piece band.

Commenting on The Real Thing's success, Chris Amoo said: 'There's always going to be a sense of nostalgia about our music. It's the sound track to so many people's lives and that will never die.'

Also to perform this year are Bill Bailey's All Star Jazz Band on Saturday, July 1, KT Tunstall on Saturday, July 8, and Busted on Saturday, July 15.

Organisers have said visitors will be subject to bag searches and metal detector checks at all entry points in Tuesday Market Place.
