A popular village pub and restaurant in Weston Longville has announced it is to close this weekend.

The Parson Woodforde, on Church Street, will be closed for an 'extended period' from Sunday, May 21.

It will be hosting a closing party with cheap drinks and free food on Saturday, followed by a breakfast the next day.

An announcement on the pub's website states: 'We would like to say thank you to our loyal customers and wish them all the best for the future.'
