Cinema-goers breathed a sigh of relief when a small group of volunteers supported by a local business stepped in to save their favourite matinee show.
When Arts North Norfolk ceased trading earlier this year it looked like the film matinees it ran on the last Friday of the month at the Atrium in North Walsham for up to 180 people might come to an end.
However, residents Richard and Paula Crossley and other film enthusiasts wanted to ensure the show went on.
Mr Crossley said: 'We knew how popular the matinees were, and the enjoyment they brought to people throughout north Norfolk, so we were happy to step in and do our bit.'
The matinees are sponsored by Hughes Electrical in North Walsham, whose spokesman Angela Hudson said: 'They have done a tremendous job in not only keeping it all going but looking at ways to make it even better so we are delighted to support them.'
