From the bride's bouquet to displays for the church and reception, flowers play an important role in wedding decor.

At this weekend's show beautiful blooms by Norwich-based Margaret Emms Florist will be among those on display.

The florist's has been perfecting the art of flower-arranging for half a century, and last year created displays for about 150 weddings.

Mary Murray, the owner of Margaret Emms Florist, said they had exhibited at the EDP Wedding Show a number of times before, and that the show was a great way for exhibitors to showcase their work.

She said she would be bringing an array of bridal bouquets and displays, as well as bunting and birdcages, to the show.

Mrs Murray said: 'This year we are receiving a lot of requests for navy blue and ivory colour schemes. Purples are also still very popular, and the traditional white. For vintage-themed weddings we are doing a lot of arrangements with English country garden flowers.

'Flowers are a very personal thing and you need to have confidence in the florist that you use to interpret exactly what you want and create the designs that are in your mind.

'That is very important because the first time the bride will see the finished displays will be on their wedding day.

'We want brides to know they can book us with confidence - we have got such a lot of experience in doing weddings and pay attention to the very last detail.'

The wedding cake is the crowning glory of every wedding breakfast, and Sam Douglass' company Scrumptious Buns offers couples a unique approach to this tasty tradition.

Her Wroxham-based business specialises in bespoke cupcakes and she also bakes cakes, cookies, cake pops and other sweet treats.

Visitors to the show will have the chance to taste some of Miss Douglass' delicious creations, and she is now busy baking an array of cupcakes to adorn her show stand. Among her inventive designs, Miss Douglass plans to decorate some of the cupcakes with edible vintage brooches.

Miss Douglass, who at the 2012 Wedding Industry Awards won the best wedding cake maker in the east category, said: 'I love doing weddings. It is really nice how everybody likes to have something different.

'I like to do something different and unique for each couple - the cakes are very much a reflection of them.'

She said she had her first exhibition at an EDP Wedding Show last year.

'Last year it was so nice meeting everybody that I said straight away that I would definitely like to do another show,' she said.

'It is nice to meet all the couples and their families and the other exhibitors too - it is like a little wedding community.

'If you have just got engaged, the show is a great place to start making your wedding plans. There is everything there in one place.'

Every bride needs the perfect dress - and Pure in Norwich, is among the bridal wear specialists that have exhibited at EDP Wedding Shows for many years.

The St Benedict's Street boutigue offers a wide range of wedding dresses including designs by Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley, San Patrick, and Olvi. Many of these will be on display at Pure's stand and also on the special catwalk show which will take place four times on each of the show days.

Pure will also be displaying some mother of the bride outfits too.

Anna Hare, owner of Pure, said: 'The fashion show is a real draw and it is a really great way to see the dresses. 'It is a good way to see what is coming up and what is influencing the styles and designs for the season.

'There is lots and lots of lace at the moment. Lace was already coming through last year and Kate Middleton has definitely reinforced that.

'There is also a very strong vintage influence. Ruffles and textures are also big influences too,'

About the show in general, Mrs Hare said: 'You could organise your entire wedding at the show - there is everything you could possibly need and a lot more besides.'

Whether it is the all-important wedding bands or an exquisite necklace to complement the bride's dress, visitors will be able to see a wide range of jewellery at the show.

Aurum, in Bedford Street, will be among the exhibitors. The family-run jewellers specialises in British designers and also creates its own jewellery designs too.

'We are going to take a good selection of bridal jewellery, wedding rings, and some other items for the groom as well to the show,' said Jon Maddocks, from Aurum.

'We are a local business and hopefully people will find something a bit different with us.'

About Aurum's wedding bands, he said: 'We have about several hundred different options of designs for wedding rings.

'We work in nine and 18 carat gold, palladium and platinum, and we have an interesting selection of wedding rings made from titanium and tungsten. We also do diamond-set wedding bands.'

Aurum's bridal jewellery includes timeless designs incorporating fresh water pearls and also gem-set jewellery - and there are lots of options for bridesmaids too.

Jewellery can be engraved and specially made so, for example, wedding rings can be coordinated to match with the bridal jewellery, or special matching jewellery can be created for bridesmaids.

Jaguar enthusiast Richard Farley will be among the transport specialists showcasing his vehicles at the EDP Wedding Show.

Mr Farley began his Halvergate-based company Cherry Tree Jaguars about nine years ago, starting with a classic 1963 Midnight Blue MKII Jaguar.

His fleet now includes three other Jaguars - a 2003 Jaguar, an X300 Jaguar, and an XJ Jaguar - along with a four wheel drive and a limousine.

He said the MKII Jaguar, like the one used by Inspector Morse, is one of his most popular vehicles.

'A lot of brides like the classic MKII because of their father, it is a car that their father can relate to,' he said, adding that the MKII would be on display at the show and people will have the chance to sit in the car and get a feel for it.

Another one of Mr Farley's vehicles will also be at the show and he will also be bringing photographs of the rest.

He said he was looking forward to meeting all the show-goers and telling them about his wedding fleet.

Southwood Hall, near Acle, is one of Norfolk's newest wedding venues, and this romantic countryside setting is one of the many locations couples will be able to find out about at the show.

Anna Key, from Southwood Hall, said: 'We are an exclusive events venue in rural Broadland set at the heart of our family farm. Coronation Barn at Southwood Hall is a stunning blend of a Grade II listed traditional thatched barn with all the modern benefits of a 5* wedding venue.

'Southwood Hall is a family owned and managed business meaning we are truly empowered to offer individual and unique services. We have no set menus and no set ways of working, every wedding is tailored to your exact requirements and our team will work with you to ensure that we achieve your vision of exactly how you want your day to be.'

Ms Key added: 'Our business has grown alongside the EDP Wedding Show at the Norfolk Showground. In the first year of the show in 2010 we were still a building site showcasing enthusiasm and artists impressions of what we were developing. We started trading in January of last year and many of our 2011 brides came from that show, and we are really grateful for the faith they put in us and allowing us to work with them to create what we have now.'

Vocalist Helen Ashton will also be joining the Southwood Hall stand this year, performing live sets throughout the show.

Ms Key said: 'She is a wonderful vocalist that we have found that gives us all goose bumps whenever she performs. She reduces a congregation to tears at a ceremony and perfectly personalises a wedding when singing the first dance.'

Those perfect pictures capturing all those special moments throughout your wedding day are all important, and Norwich-based John Parfitt Photography is among the photographers that will be at the show.

John Parfitt has been a professional photographer since 1982 and now runs John Parfitt Photography with fellow photographer Sarah Kingston.

They specialise in a blend of reportage and classic stylish images, all photographed in a friendly, relaxed and informal way.

He said they enjoy working with couples, helping to ensure their wedding day flows well, and that they also specialise in producing individually designed albums, and offer photo shoots with couples prior to their wedding day to get to know them.

Mr Parfitt, who is a regular at the EDP Wedding Shows at the Norfolk Showground, said: 'The internet is often people's first point of contact with us but it is great to meet people face-to-face. The wedding show is a great opportunity for that - so please come and meet us at the show.'
