They have taken part in East Anglia's Children's Hospices' Ride for Life for the past decade and now the Bobbins family hope their efforts will inspire others to sign-up.

Heather Bobbins, from Terrington St Clement, and her husband Mark, along with sons Archie, 14 and Alfie, 11, have raised thousands for the charity over the past ten years.

Mrs Bobbins said: 'We started doing it years ago as a whole family, with the boys on the back of our bikes in baby seats and a tag along bike, our friends and their families join in too.

'It really is a great family event with something for everyone, and if you don't want to bike you can take part in the walks instead.'

In 2005 Archie and Alfie won the prize for the highest children fundraisers and this year the family are taking part in the 25-mile off-road route.

Ride for Life, now in its 19th year, will take place in the heart of Thetford Forest on Sunday, May 20. There are 10 and 25 mile off-road routes as well as 19 and 35 mile on-road routes available. There are also three and nine mile walking routes.

Participants and supporters will also be able to enjoy live acoustic music as well as an array of food stalls.

Fees to register are as follows: Adult cyclists: 10, adult walkers: 6, child cyclists (13 and under): 5, child walkers: 4 and team entry prices vary.
