Motorists are being warned of delays through Dereham due to roadworks.
UK Power Networks has dug a trench at Quebec Road to connect a new electricity supply to a BT cabinet.
Three-way controlled temporary traffic lights have been put in place at the junction of Swaffham Road, the Market Place and Quebec Road.
The work is due to last until this Thursday.
This afternoon, the traffic lights caused tailbacks along the Market Place and the High Street.
