A 17-YEAR-OLD boy from Lowestoft has been charged with two counts of burglary with intent to steal following a break-in at a home in Gorleston Road and another incident at a home in Winston Avenue at the weekend.

The burglary at Winston Avenue happened just after 10pm on Saturday night (July 21), while the Gorleston Road break in happened between 11.45pm on Saturday and 12.10am yesterday (Sunday, July 22).

The 17-year-old was arrested by police a short time after the Gorleston Road incident and was taken into custody where he was interviewed by detectives. He was then charged in connection with both incidents.

The teenager has also been charged with possession of cannabis and is due to appear at Lowestoft magistrates court this morning, Monday, July 23.
