Two teachers have created their own version of Matt Lucas’ Thank you Baked Potato song to cheer up children in lockdown.

Kirsty Ponder and Kelsey Thompson are year two teachers at Toftwood Infant and Junior School Federation in Dereham.

Mrs Ponder said: “We created our own version for the children and families from our federation whilst they’re at home. We wanted to make them smile.”

Little Britain star Matt Lucas updated a 20-year-old comedy song with lyrics giving advice about avoiding coronavirus.

In its new incarnation, the baked potato instructs people to wash their hands, stay indoors and not touch their faces.
