Swimmers had to be cleared at the UEA Sportspark this afternoon after a young swimmer 'contaminated' the swimming pool.
A Sportspark spokesman said: 'Staff followed Sportspark Operating Procedures and immediately cleared the pool so no other swimmer was affected.
'Sportspark would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to users and thank customers for their understanding and patience during this period.'
The spokesman added that the pool had been closed for an 'increased cleansing treatment' and will re-open at 10am tomorrow.
