A 27-year-old man has appeared in court this morning charged with the manslaughter of 43-year-old Alan Jewitt, who died after he was assaulted near Chicago's nightclub, in Prince of Wales Road, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Ion Lacatus, of Kettlebaston Road, Leyton, London, appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court this morning, where he confirmed his name and age through a Romanian translator.
He is charged with the manslaughter of father-of-two Alan Jewitt, of Gertrude Road in the north of the city.
Lacatus was denied bail and is due before Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday.
