A Suffolk brewery is forecasting a surge in sales in its alcohol-free beer this Christmas, after signing a deal to supply a 190-strong pub group.

St Peter's Brewery near Bungay has penned a deal with Vintage Inns which will see its Without Original alcohol-free beer featured on the restaurant menu and at the bar.

Steve Magnall, St Peter's Brewery chief executive, said: 'There is a growing demand for alcohol-free drinks across the industry and we expect more pub groups to follow Vintage Inns' example. As we head towards Christmas, pubs and restaurants need to be responsible and provide options for the designated driver. We expect sales to increase dramatically during this period.'

In the past year St Peter's has struck distribution deals with supermarkets Tesco and Morrisons as well as Oddbins off-licences, Wetherspoons pubs, Wholefoods Market stores and Nisa shops.
