A trapped wild snake has been freed by the emergency services in north Norfolk.
The two-foot long reptile, believed to have been a grass snake, had become trapped in plastic netting on Anchor Street, Tunstead.
A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service officer and the police went to help the RSPCA release the snake at about 10pm last night. Their mission was successful and the snake was returned to the wild, unharmed.
