Police had closed Recreation Road as a lorry became stuck close to Earlham Road.
Officers were called around 7.20am by the driver of the lorry, who had become stuck due to cars parked in the road.
The road was closed for around an hour as enquiries were made to locate the owner of the car blocking the road.
After the street was cleared it was re-opened shortly after 8.30am.
