Flying Kiwi chef Chris Coubrough visited Stibbard All Saints Primary School to officially open its new kitchen.

As well as cutting the ribbon, he spent time with 10 children making fruit scones, teaching them about fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and how to cook for a large number.

Year four teacher Liz Harwin said 'We've always wanted our own kitchen at the school and this dream has finally been realised.

'We are now able to offer freshly cooked meals at lunchtime, giving the children a much-needed energy boost to help with their concentration in the afternoon.'

Flying Kiwi Inns is an independent group of hotels and restaurants comprising the Crown hotel in Wells and the Ship hotel in Brancaster. Mr Coubrough hosted ITV's Coastal Kitchen, where he travelled around the coastal areas of East Anglia in search of food producers and locally-grown ingredients.
