WITH all the Great Yarmouth Borough Council votes counted, the overall Conservative majority has remained as before but with a few significant changes.
Barbara Wright, the wife of former Yarmouth MP Tony Wright is now Labour borough councillor for the St Andrew's ward, having beaten incumbent Bryan Watts by the narrow margin of just 54 votes.
Elsewhere, the only other gain made was by the Conservatives in Caister South, with Robert Peck beating Labour candidate Nicholas Dack following a move by previous Labour incumbent Marie Field to the Central and Northgate ward.
Kerry Payne also holds the seat for Labour in the Nelson ward following the de-selection of Brenda Taylor-who ran as an Independent- as party incumbent.
