It has become an established part of the Norfolk calendar with the Abbot of St Benet's arriving at the Abbey site on the bough of a traditional Norfolk Wherry.

The Abbot of St Benet's, the Bishop of Norwich Rt Revd Graham James, joined the Prior of St Benet's, The Revd David Smith, Rector of the Benefice of St Benedict, representatives of the other local churches and the wider congregation drawn from across the county.

The service was lead by the Prior with Bishop Graham preaching and there were contributions from the other clergy present and the Brothers of St Benet's, who organised the service.
