A HOST of sporting stars will be descending on Wymondham next month to help a new cancer support charity.
The guest speakers evening at Wymondham Town Football Club has been organised by life president Les King to raise funds for Star Throwers.
Mr King will speak at the event from 7pm on Wednesday, December 8 about his 30 years running the former Regal Cinema in Wymondham and his support of local boxers.
He will be joined by speaker Ken Brown, former England footballer and Norwich City manager, and Jon Thaxton, former world, European, and British boxing champion.
Mr King added that there would be another surprise guest sports star on the night at the club in Back Lane.
'Star Throwers is a very good local charity helping people with cancer and has not been in Wymondham for long so I thought I would put on a fundraiser for them before Christmas to promote the charity,' he said.
Tickets are �4 and will be sold at Money Properties, in Market Street, Wymondham.
