Businesses and organisations across the county are being asked to get involved in this year's Norfolk Sports Awards.

The event, which celebrates the very best sporting talent in Norfolk, is seeking sponsorship for three of its categories.

Kristen Hall, from Active Norfolk, which is organising the event, said: 'Sponsoring the Norfolk Sports Awards gives your company the chance to build local profile, and benefit from all of the media coverage gained through our media partners, plus the night itself is a great opportunity to network with some of the most important and influential people from Norfolk and the east region.'

Sponsorship is required for:

• The Sporting Business of the Year Award

• The Sports School of the Year Award – Secondary school

• High Performance Coach of the Year Award.

Nominations are open for this year's event, and people have until midnight on Sunday, October 16 to make an entry.

Now in its 10th year, the awards give people the chance to nominate individuals and organisations who they feel deserve to be recognised for their contributions to sport.

There are 14 categories, including individual and group awards. It culminates with a prestigious ceremony at Open, in Norwich, on Tuesday, November 15.

To nominate someone who deserves recognition for their sporting achievements, visit www.activenorfolk.org/sportsawards. Tickets for the awards night cost £18 each.
