A driver sustained spinal injuries when his black Ford Mondeo collided with a red BMW in Bradwell.
Police, the fire service and an ambulance were called to Long Lane at around 2.55pm today.
The male driver who was injured was taken to the James Paget Hospital for treatment.
Beccles Road and Mill Lane were closed while the cars were recovered, with traffic diverted down Belton Avenue.
All roads were reopened at 4.30pm.
