Cocina Mia, which translates as 'My Kitchen' in Spanish, opened at Stall 152/153 on August 10 and is serving up traditional Chilean treats.

The stall was created by Ana Bridgman, 49, who moved to the UK from Chile at the age of three and decided to open her own business after working as a chef.

Ms Bridgman said: 'My mother is from Valparaiso, in central Chile, so Chilean food was an important part of my upbringing and I am so happy to be introducing Norwich to the cuisine.

'We're mainly serving empanadas, which are a stuffed pastry. In Chile, empanadas are made with a bread style dough and are baked in the oven. Our recipe has been in the family for generations!'

Cocina Mia's range of empanadas includes chicken and chorizo, roasted vegetables and pino, made from seasoned ground beef, onions, raisins, black olives and topped with hard boiled eggs.

Dairy-free options are available and stews and sandwiches are also sold on weekends.
