A driver led police on a high-speed chase around Norfolk before finally being brought to a halt after he rammed into a police car.
Wayne Read, 20, refused to stop for police in Ketts Hill in Norwich and had driven off at speeds of 60 and 70mph in a 30mph zone, Norwich Crown Court heard.
He then led police on a pursuit through Heartsease and Sprowston before driving out on the North Walsham Road towards Coltishall and Buxton before heading back towards Norwich.
Read even refused to stop when he lost a tyre on his mother's Vauxhall Astra car.
Police finally deployed a stinger - a spike device to puncture tyres - but even that failed to make him stop.
Read, of Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew, near Norwich, admitted aggrav-ated vehicle taking and was sent to a young offenders' institution for four months and given an 18-month driving ban.
Michael Clare, for Read, said he had panicked when he was asked to stop by police as he had not got a licence or any insurance.
