A team effort ensured a speed boat was taken safely back into harbour after it sent out a mayday message when it started taking on water.
The 16ft Merlin – with four people on board – issued the alert at about 11.20am today while at the entrance to Blakeney Harbour.
Wells all-weather and inshore lifeboats were on exercise and were sent to assist.
But another vessel – the White Water – took three of the passengers off the Merlin while one remained to pump out water.
The White Water then towed the Merlin to Morston, escorted by the two lifeboats, and the Wells inshore vessel took over towing and got it moored at Morston Quay at 12.40pm.
