A small sinkhole has caused a section of a road in Yarmouth to be closed this afternoon, while police wait for Highways England to arrive to repair it.
The hole, which has a diameter of only about 40cm, opened up on Crown Road, close to the Russell Road junction.
A workman at a nearby house said it had been slowly opening for around two or three hours, and the two police cars blocking the road had been waiting for the highways department to arrive.
Great Yarmouth Police also tweeted to make people aware of the hole and then to say the road had been assessed and would be repaired and re-opened as soon as possible.
