West Norfolk's RSPCA centre has successfully nursed a young swan back to health and released him back to the wild.
East Winch RSPCA, near King's Lynn, cared for Sidney the cygnet for three months after he was found by builder Rob Adamson, 39, of St Ives in Cambridgeshire, with neck wounds following a suspected animal attack.
Mr Adamson treated the wounds before taking the bird to the RSPCA who cared for him until he was strong enough to be returned to the River Ouse where he was found.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: 'Rob did a wonderful job saving Sidney and did the right thing by bringing him to our wildlife centre where the bird was rehabilitated and cared for with other poorly swans in preparation for being returned back to the wild.
'Where possible the RSPCA always look to return swans back to the location where they were found especially if they already have other siblings or mates at that location.'
