Sheringham Town Council is appealing to local businesses, organisations and individuals to help shape a week-long series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Councillors will be hosting a meeting at the town community centre, in Holway Road, on March 26 at 6pm and are hoping people will come forward with their ideas for the scheme, which will run in November.
Plans so far include a beacon lighting ceremony at the Leas clifftop gardens, a community craft project run by Sheringham Women’s Institute members and a screening of the First World War film Journey’s End at Sheringham Little Theatre.
Anyone who has ideas for events, or who is interested in being involved in the project, can come along to the meeting, or phone Sheringham town clerk on 01263 822213, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
