A skipper was rushed to shore by the lifeboat after bad weather hampered his efforts to get to London to see his wife - who had gone into labour.
The Sea Palling lifeboat was called out just before 9pm on Thursday night after turbulent weather left a commercial tug boat unable to put its tender, a smaller boat used to ferry crew to and from the shore, into water.
The boat's captain was desperate to travel to London after his wife went into labour.
The lifeboat crew hurried to the boat, which was just off the coast of Sea Palling, and successfully took the captain back to dry land.
