A 10-year-old boy was hit in the head by a stranger in Gorleston.

The boy was walking in the High Street between 8.10am and 8.20am on Monday morning when he was hit on the head by the unknown man.

The force of the blow to his head caused the schoolboy to fall to the ground.

The man who hit the boy, who was not injured in the attack, is described as being white, approximately 5ft 7, of a thin build, with green eyes, and he wearing a grey hat at the time.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are now appealing for information following the incident in Gorleston.
