A first responder group on the Norfolk-Suffolk border has received a financial boost to replace its ageing sat nav units.
The Waveney Valley Community First Responder group, which is based in Harleston and Fressingfield, received 776 from Bungay-based Tubes Scaffolding following its annual football final and fete at Ditchingham.
Profits were shared between the responders and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Steve Hammond, group coordinator, said: 'This is a wonderful gift that will enable us to buy new equipment that will help save vital minutes. Being able to pinpoint an address accurately is sometimes difficult and this equipment will be a great help.'
The team of ambulance trust-trained volunteers have dealt with 170 emergency calls so far this year.
