But as tens of thousands of well wishers line the streets of the Berkshire town, there will be plenty of celebrations across Norfolk.

There was a party atmosphere at Howard Junior School today, as pupils threw a sparkling Royal wedding bash complete with ceremony and cake.

Hundreds of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle clones were spotted at the school, in King's Lynn, which decided to celebrate the day before the big day.

It seems the royal couple couldn't wait to tie the knot, as the pair were seen walking down the aisle - or corridor - clad in a crown and wedding dress.

Headteacher Gregory Hill said the school probably had the largest collection of Harrys and Meghans in the region, with 226 youngsters and school staff dressed up for the occasion.

'We had a wedding cake competition and four lucky children made a cake to present to the royal couple,' Mr Hill said. 'It was beautifully decorated.

'We learnt about the Royal Family, who have such strong links here. It has been an absolutely splendid day.'

Elsewhere, Residents and staff at Thorp House Nursing Home in Griston, near Watton, were getting into the Royal wedding spirit.

'We will be celebrating with a special party with vintage entertainer Jackie Raven singing songs from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

'And everyone will be tucking into a roast beef lunch with strawberries and cream for dessert.'

The residents have expressed their excitement at watching the event on television.
