The driver of a tractor which was hit by a train over the weekend remains in hospital, transport police have confirmed.
The incident at about 12.30pm on Sunday saw an Abellio Greater Anglia train carrying 135 people crash into the tractor at the level crossing at Roudham, near Thetford.
Seven people were injured, while the tractor driver was seriously hurt.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) yesterday confirmed the investigation into what caused the incident was ongoing and that the driver remained in hospital.
Among other factors, BTP and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch will look at whether the driver phoned a signaller to ask for permission to cross as required at the unmanned crossing.
More than 50 firefighters, four ambulances, the East Anglian air ambulance, Norfolk police and BTP attended on Sunday.
