Police yesterday issued an appeal for witnesses to a collision between two racing cyclists that ended with one of the riders, a 70-year-old woman, suffering serious head injuries.
Police yesterday issued an appeal for witnesses to a collision between two racing cyclists that ended with one of the riders, a 70-year-old woman, suffering serious head injuries.
Patricia Pepper, who was in collision with a male rider on the A47 at Walpole Highway, near Wisbech, on Sunday was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where her condition was described as "very serious but stable".
Ms Pepper, of Martlesham Heath, Suffolk, and the other rider, who has not been named, were competing in the East District Cycling Association 25-mile time trial.
The accident occurred at about 8.40am on the King's Lynn side of the Walpole slip road.
