An emergency exercise is being carried out at the Briar Chemicals site in Hellesdon this morning.
The emergency exercise started at 10am at the Sweet Briar Road site, allowing Briar Chemicals staff to practice their on-site response to an incident with the emergency services.
The exercise is expected to last for around 90 minutes and is contained within the site boundary, formerly Bayer Crop Sciences, with site alarms ringing and emergency vehicle activity at the site.
