The principal of a sixth form college in Gorleston has backed a national campaign to protect similar institutions for years to come.
The Support Our Sixth Formers campaign was launched in May, calling for an increase in the national funding rate for six form students.
Now, Catherine Richards, principal of East Norfolk Sixth Form College, has backed the campaign, which was launched to coincide with the Six Form College Association's election manifesto.
Dr Richards said: 'When you consider the underspend on 16 to 19 education in recent years, just a small proportion of that additional funding would allow us to do so much more to benefit our students.
'I am passionate that we do everything we can to protect the college for the long term, so future generations of students can continue to thrive here.'
The college opened to students in 1982.
